Ben H. Winters News

countdown cityIn Ben’s follow-up to The Last Policeman, Countdown City (out July 2013) there are only three months to go before the asteroid will destroy the earth. The Concord Police Department is now operating under the auspices of the U.S. Justice Department, and Hank is out of a job – until he’s hired by an old friend to help locate her husband that she thinks has gone “bucket list.”It isn’t long before Hank’s missing-person case turns into a murder investigation and he must recruit the help of Nicola, his estranged sister that is now part of a conspiracy theorists group that Hank has so far ignored and despised. Hank risks his own life to solve this murder- and yet asks himself, why? The world is ending anyway—and in a civilization that has lost all of its’ order and coffee, why is he seemingly the only one that has stayed the course?

Ben has some great appearances up this summer. Check out his event page and if you’re at BEA don’t miss his signing.
